Salina Lodge #60 was chartered on October 17th 1867 and resides within the walls of the Masonic Center Temple.jpg (55129 bytes) located at 336 S. Santa Fe Salina, Kansas.  The construction of the Masonic Center (formerly known as the Masonic Temple) was started in 1922 and completed in 1927.  The cornerstone was laid by the Grand Lodge of Kansas on October 6th 1922 and was recently rededicated during a week long celebration of the 75th year anniversary of the Masonic Center on November 23rd, 2002.  The rededication ceremony was conducted by Most Worshipful Glen Kohr, Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of A.F. & A.M. of Kansas.  Several Grand Lodge Officers were on hand to assist M.: W.: Glen in assuring the cornerstone was still Plumb, Square and Level.  This was indeed an honor, not only for the Masonic Center but for M.: W.: Glen as well, he being a Past Master of Salina Masonic Lodge #60.

The Masonic Center has recently been placed on the National Registry of Historical Places.  The Directors (one appointed by each of the five major organizations) are working diligently to join the Greater Salina Community Foundation in an effort to make contributions to the Masonic Center tax deductible.  Those funds will be set up very soon and persons wanting to make tax deductible donations for the Masonic Center will be able to do so.  As soon as those accounts are set up the Directors of the Masonic Center will make an announcement on how to make those types of contributions.

The Masonic Center is located in beautiful downtown Salina
